Practice Manager

For Becky, nothing feels better than knowing she’s helped to improve someone’s health and happiness—furry or not! When the opportunity arose for her to combine her people skills with her love of animals, she didn’t hesitate. Becky is proud to serve as Denville Animal Hospital’s Practice Manager.

Becky grew up in Rockaway with her parents, two sisters, a brother, and plenty of family pets. She earned her B.S. in Business Management at William Paterson University with a minor in a medical coding and billing and joined the Denville Animal Hospital family in October of 2017. Where she has been helping the pets and animal owners of Denville here ever since! She has been involved with animals all her life, both in work and in her personal life. Previously she volunteered as a Puppy Raiser for the blind with the Seeing Eye for 10 years.

She has three animal companions of her own at home: Blackie, a Himalayan cat who Becky rescued after a client surrendered him to Denville Animal Hospital; a playful long-haired cat named Bella; and a domestic shorthair who goes by Charlie.

Becky’s main interest outside of veterinary medicine is traveling—she’s crossed 15 destinations off her list in the past few years! She’s even hiked to the top of ancient Mayan ruins in Tulum, Mexico, and traveled through New Orleans during the Mardi Gras celebration.

Head Veterinary Technician

Shannon was only a little girl when she decided that she would one day become a professional in the world of animal care. When she and her parents adopted Shannon’s first Beagle, her mind was made up! Her dream has come full circle: she’s the Head Veterinary Technician here at Denville Animal Hospital.

Shannon grew up in Stillwater, New Jersey and started her career in animal medicine by working at a local kennel. After taking classes to become a Certified Veterinary Assistant, Shannon continued on to study veterinary technology and become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She joined the Denville Animal Hospital family in March of 2017, and brings with her special interests in bloodwork and surgical assisting. Shannon’s favorite part of her job, though, is using her talents every day to contribute to the health and well-being of Denville’s pets!

When she isn’t bettering the lives of animals and their owners here at the clinic, Shannon can be found hiking, walking her dogs, and ballet dancing—she danced in ballet groups for 17 years in total! Shannon shares her life with two companions: a beautiful black cat named Midnight, whom she rescued as a kitten when she was found in the nearby dumpster; and a rambunctious Shiba Inu, Koda.

Veterinary Technician

Jasmine is a New Jersey native and spent her younger years living on her aunt’s farm; it was there that she first fell in love with animals. She’s known ever since she was a little girl that she would one day work hands-on with pets! Now, Jasmine has enjoyed many years spent doing just that, and is thrilled to continue her veterinary journey as a member of the Denville Animal Hospital family.

Jasmine attended Delaware Valley College to major in large animal science, and worked a variety of jobs for the next several years, always oriented around animals. For the past ten years, she’s served as a pet-sitter specializing in special-needs animals; Jasmine has had the opportunity to care for everything from horses, cows, and goats to snakes, ducks, and llamas!

Jasmine was happy to return to the medical side of the animal-care world when she joined the Denville Animal Hospital team in October of 2017. She particularly likes assisting with surgeries, learning more about routine and preventative-maintenance care, and using her knowledge of animal behavior to help make a diagnosis.

At home, Jasmine and her husband share their lives with one pet of their own: Optimus Prime, a sassy Shiba Inu/Jack Russell Terrier mix. Jasmine also leases a horse, Little John, and competes with him in local jumper shows and foxhunting competitions; she’s also started to dabble in the sport of polo. When she isn’t caring for pets here at the hospital or spending time on horseback, Jasmine likes riding her motorcycle with her husband and traveling—so far, she’s visited Mexico, Poland, Slovakia, and Italy!

Nicole has been surrounded by animals ever since her earliest days—her parents bred rabbits and also looked after geese, ducks, chickens, and quail. As Nicole got a bit older, she started to fall in love with the field of science. For her, working in veterinary medicine was the perfect pairing of her love for animals and her fascination with biology. Nicole is now a proud member of the Denville Animal Hospital team, where she gets to care for pets and their owners every day!

Nicole is from Ringwood, New Jersey and studied biology at Ramapo College. She joined the team here at Denville Animal Hospital as a receptionist in early 2018, and looks forward to advancing her education in the future—she plans on studying veterinary medicine and continuing her journey in the world of professional animal care! Nicole finds that she’s especially fond of diagnostic work and surgical procedures, but her favorite part of the job is getting to know she’s making a difference in the lives of animal-lovers just like herself.

Nicole’s interests outside of the veterinary world include traveling, spending time in nature, enjoying the company of friends and family, playing softball—she played during college, and was even a member of the first New Jersey Athletic Conference championship team in school history!—and doting on her own pets at home. She cares for a flock of 15 chickens and also shares her life with two dogs: Bailey, a Yellow Labrador, and a Black Labrador named Ava.
